Description

As Enrollment Counselor, you will assist our prospective students with the admissions process for Wellesley College Summer Program. The Summer Program is part of Wellesley Extended which includes a variety of non-traditional programs including summer term for high school and undergraduate students, professional/executive education, and other non-academic enterprises.

This position will be responsible for answering student inquiries and providing timely and relevant information to prospective students about the Wellesley Summer Program with a focus on summer students.
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Enrollment Coordination (75%)
• Recruits students to meet stated enrollment goals for the unit; assists with admissions, enrollment and student activities, such as school fairs, high school visits and other related events as needed.
• Serves as primary contact and information resource for prospective and admitted students, as well as a contact and liaison through application and admission decision notifications; develops relationships with appropriate high school personnel.
• Tracks admissions and works on increasing enrollment yield; participates in admissions meetings as needed.
• Collaborates with department chairs, College admissions staff, and Marketing/Communications team members to communicate with prospective students and assists students through all phases of the enrollment cycle.
• Ensures timely communication with prospective students.
• Guides interested students through the application, admissions and enrollment process.
• Utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for tracking and student communications
• Executes a workflow process for student recruitment and enrollment

Communications (10%)
• Participate in executing marketing strategies including providing feedback on marketing materials.
• Serve as department expert in CRM
• Utilize social media to communicate about programs
• Prepare unit enrollment reports, presentations, and communications

Special Student Outreach (15%)

• Provides enhanced support to special student populations (included international) as needed and directed by unit leadership
• Advises colleagues on process flow changes needed and other enhancements
• Monitors budgets and planning scenarios to support execution of projects. Provides metrics to unit leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1-3 years in a customer service related role, preferably in higher education
• Strong comfort level with technology, including mobile computing and social media
• Knowledge of Google docs and MS Office suite
CRM or database background strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to offer superior customer service skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to respond quickly, independently and with flexibility under tight deadlines
