Faculty Information Systems Administrator is the primary support for many of the faculty-related Human Resources functions. These functions include a range of annual activities such as helping produce the contract letters, using the College’s newly adopted Workday system to administer all faculty hiring, position creation, job changes, leaves, salary changes, terminations, special payments (period activity pay, one-time payments), academic appointments, and codes related to reappointment and tenure reviews. In addition, the specialist will be a secondary support person for supporting many of the financial activities such as expense reimbursements for faculty that the Provost’s staff are responsible for. This position will be instrumental in participating in a collective effort to streamline several of the processes currently in use in the Provost’s office and introduce efficiencies and also be trained in the use of Workday.


Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have excellent communication and computer skills. Advanced use of Microsoft Office suite of programs or Google Apps is required, especially Excel. Must take responsibility and accountability for the accuracy of assigned work. 2-3 years experience in administrative systems. Banner experience is desirable. Workday experience preferred. Excellent organizational, writing, communication, and time management skills. Ability to work with people who have varying familiarity with budget and financial systems, especially grants. Ability to convey complex ideas to a varied audience in a clear manner, with attention to detail. Willingness to adapt to changing requirements that emerge through an evolving technology and business process landscape.
