Description | The per-diem registered nurse practices within the scope of practice according to the Board of Registration in Nursing. The per-diem registered nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing actions and triage care of students presenting to Health Services, a department within the Division of Student Life. The per-diem RN provides direct support to Health Service clinical staff to assure smooth and efficient care of students. The per-diem RN is responsible for evaluating patients presenting complaint during clinical visits as well as during triage phone calls. The per-diem RN participates as an as-needed member of the health care team working toward attaining the Health Service mission and vision. Primary Responsibilities: -Obtains initial focused subjective and objective data through history taking, physical examination, and review of records. |
