Hillel Program Coordinator

This position will report to the Interim Rabbi and Director of Hillel and work with the Executive Board Members and students of Wellesley College. They will be an interactive and dynamic leader who is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituents; will possess exceptional organizational and planning skills; and will have an orientation toward social media as a tool for communication and outreach to Jewish students and the broader community.

The responsibilities include:

Work hand-in-hand with Interim Rabbi and Director of Hillel and Executive Board members to identify, create, and organize programs/events to engage target constituencies. This includes ensuring excellent execution of all events through scheduling and arranging all logistics, participant recruitment and follow up, and programmatic evaluations Work with IACT Israel Engagement Fellow to facilitate programs related to Birthright and Israel Collaborate with the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life to communicate and plan all programming. Attendance at weekly staff meetings facilitates this collaboration and open communication Maintain accurate programmatic, assessment, and financial records and develop and present reports as appropriate Attend Wellesley College Hillel events, holidays, and other IACT/CJP Programming Work with Interim Rabbi and Director of Hillel in coordination with other Wellesley College organizations to co-sponsor relevant events.

This is a term position ending 5/31/2018.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Two plus years’ experience working in a higher education setting.

● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, creates timetables, and adhere to deadlines
● Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
● Ability to manage all event logistics from start to finish
● Reliability, punctuality, trustworthiness, and attention to detail
● Enthusiasm for working with college students and for community building
● Passion for Jewish education
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
